How We Order Offers

Several independent dealers often offer the same product with us. This page sets out the rules we use to order their offers and how much weight each rule carries (Section 5b(2) of the German Unfair Competition Act, UWG).

In Short

Buy Now Marketplace and Buy Now Pages

This applies on the Buy Now Marketplace (feed.buy-now.page) and on manufacturers' Buy Now Pages.

Sort Decided by On an exact tie
Cheapest offer (default) lowest total price shorter delivery time
Fastest delivery fewest delivery days lower total price
Nearby (Buy Now Pages, with a location) shortest distance order by total price

A tie at the top. When several dealers have exactly the same lowest total price, all of them carry the “Cheapest offer” badge. The same applies to “Fastest delivery” for delivery time. Which of them stands first is drawn at random once per browser session. For this we store a random number in a session cookie. It holds nothing about you and is deleted when you close your browser.

A link to a specific dealer. When the buyer arrives through a link to a specific dealer and that dealer is among those tied, that dealer stands first. They never overtake a cheaper or faster dealer.

Premium changes nothing here. The Premium badge is shown, but it does not change the order on the marketplace or on Buy Now Pages. The buyer can filter for Premium dealers.

Dealer Checkout on Manufacturers' Websites

In the Dealer Checkout that a manufacturer embeds in its own website:

Only dealers who have the chosen quantity in stock and deliver to the buyer's country are shown.

Dealer Locator

In a manufacturer's dealer locator, the dealer the buyer clicked there comes first. The others follow by distance from the postcode entered. Dealers whose location we do not know come last. At equal distance the total price decides, then the delivery time. Premium plays no part.

AI Assistants

When an AI assistant asks our interface for offers, we sort by distance if a postcode is given, otherwise by the lowest total price. On a tie, delivery time decides.

Brokered Orders

Some products have no dealer selling them directly yet. We then offer to broker the order to a specialist dealer. This offer always comes after every dealer who sells right away, whatever its price or distance.

What Premium Means

A dealer receives the Premium badge for 30 days when a manufacturer they invited to Next Commerce accepts the invitation. Further acceptances during those 30 days do not extend it. After that, the dealer can earn it again.

The dealer pays no money for the badge. It rewards them for bringing a manufacturer to the platform. Next Commerce benefits from this, because the manufacturer becomes our customer. That is why we state it openly here.

Effect: only in the Dealer Checkout on manufacturers' websites do Premium dealers come before the others in the default sort. Everywhere else the badge is only shown.
